Clinical supervision

Supervision is a space to slow down, think through your caseload and talk with someone who has walked a similar path. Commatters offers monthly sessions with Yolande, our Practice Director and Principal Speech Pathologist. Our supervision sessions are suited for speech pathologists at any stage of their career.

Who's it for?

Supervision may suit you if you're:

  • Working remotely or in outreach, and want support with sustainable, culturally responsive practice

  • Interested in autism assessment, or recently trained and building your confidence

  • Early in your career and looking for support with workload, functional goals and carryover into everyday life

Areas of focus

  • Remote and outreach practice

  • Autism assessment, including affirming reports and feedback conversations

  • Functional communication in everyday contexts

  • Workload, wellbeing and professional growth

How sessions work

Sessions are 60 minutes, held online once a month on a Friday. Each session is recorded and the link is shared with you afterwards. I'll also send a follow-up email with the main discussion points and any agreed actions.

Why Yolande?

Yolande's been a speech pathologist for 18 years, working across the lifespan in metropolitan areas, Darwin and remote communities throughout the Northern Territory. She knows what it's like to be the only SP for hundreds of kilometres, and to wonder if you're getting it right. Supervision with Yolande is practical, grounded in real world practice, and culturally responsive, neurodiversity affirming and strengths based.

Fees

  • Single session: $209 (invoiced after the session, payable within 7 days)

  • 3-month package: $599 (paid in full one week before the first session)
